I've been captivated by Irana Douer's art for quite some time now. She seems to use a lot of symbolism in her art and I think I spotted a few Tarot depictions in some of her works. Most of her drawings seem to be of lone female characters, nearly always with some connection to the natural world. I love the way she mostly uses pencil and shading - her art is so full of life it doesn't need colour, just like good black and white photographs.
